Over 20 years ago, Briana Lawrence and Jessica Walsh (Snow) were two fanfiction writing ladies who geeked out over Gundam Wing boys and Resident Evil. Now? They’re married geeks who write books, wear nerdy outfits, and do their best to keep their cats in line.

Briana is an author with a number of releases. There’s her award-winning middle-grade book series, “In Search of Superpowers: A Fantasy Pin World Adventure,” about a group of kids who get superpowered enamel pins. There’s “The Essential Manga Guide: 50 Series Every Manga Fan Should Know,” an essay guide where she rambles on about why manga is a vital part of our reading experience. And there’s her magical girl series “magnifiqueNOIR,” her love letter to Sailor Moon in the form of Black, queer magical girls. As if her anime influence isn't enough, she's also the Senior Features Editor over at Crunchyroll News!

Meanwhile, you may have heard stories from Snow’s horror anthology “Little Creepers” on podcasts like Ghoul Intentions and the always spine-tingling Mr. Creepy Pasta. Her latest book is “Ironbound Kisses,” a gay romance fantasy where something mysterious and fantastical is going on at a circus. She also runs the blog “Well, Are They?,” a review site that covers queer media and is home to the couple’s Queer Manga Book Club.
