Our Story

More Than a Bookstore
Bruyere Books & Tea was created with one simple idea: everyone deserves a place where they belong.
We believe bookstores should be welcoming, comfortable, and full of discovery. Whether you're searching for a new favorite novel, the perfect gift, or simply a quiet place to slow down for a while, we hope you'll feel at home here.
Our shelves are thoughtfully curated to include a wide variety of voices and experiences, with special care given to queer authors, neurodivergent creators, local writers, and stories that help people feel seen.
As an independent bookstore, every purchase directly supports our community. We love recommending books, celebrating new releases, hosting events, and creating a space where readers can connect with one another.
Bruyere Books & Tea is proudly located in beautiful downtown Lindström, Minnesota. We're grateful to be part of a community that believes books can bring people together.
Whether you're visiting for the first time or you've become one of our regulars, thank you for helping us build something special.
We can't wait to welcome you through the door.

Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge that Lindström, Minnesota, is located on the ancestral and contemporary lands of the Dakota people, including the Mdewakanton Dakota, as well as the Ojibwe people, who have lived, cared for, and gathered on this land for countless generations.
This region, known today as the Chisago Lakes area, remains deeply connected to the Dakota and Ojibwe through their history, culture, and spiritual traditions.
We recognize that the land was taken from Indigenous peoples through broken treaties and forced removal, and we honor the ongoing presence and resilience of Dakota, Ojibwe, and other Indigenous communities across Minnesota.
We commit to deepening our understanding of this history and to building respectful relationships with the Native nations whose homelands we share.
